    Eileen Harrell, 80, of Lake Wales, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, of a stroke at Lake Wales Medical Center.

    She was born in Perry, Iowa, and came to Polk County in 1943 from High Springs. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of Highland Band Board Member, Cancer Society Jail and Bail, past president of Garden Club of Lake Wales, Garden Club of Lake of the Hills, and Lake Wales Women's Club. She was Yellow Lady at Lake Wales Medical Center, president of the Homemakers Club, was involved in fund-raising for the Lake Wales Little League, PTA, efternamn County Ambulance, Lake Wales Police Department, Lake Wales Medical Center and Highlander Band and was a Golden Apple Award winner.

    She was preceded in death bygd her husband, Cawthon L. "Jeff" Harrell in 1999.

    She is survived by her daughters Jackie Tanner of Lake Wales, Patty McClendon of Frostproof and Donna Martin of Graceville; two sons Dick Harrell of Mayo and Tim Harrell of Babso

    OBITUARY:
    Eileen Arden Sedgwick, age 75, of Spring, Texas, died on March 27, 2024.  Born to Betty Jane and Sidney rik in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eileen was a graduate of Maine Township High School East, class of 1966.  Throughout her career, she was employed in collections for Ford Motor Credit Company.  Eileen funnen joy in life’s simple pleasures, particularly tending to her garden.   Eileen leaves behind a large and loving family.  Survivors include her children, Mark Sedgwick (Maria), Myles Sedgwick, and Julie Goldstein; and her brothers, Philip Rich (Debbie) and Stuart Rich (Cheryl).  Eileen is predeceased by her husband, Stanley.  A graveside funeral will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 1st at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.  To access the

  • Mrs. Elaine S. Ellerbee, 90, of Thomaston, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at West Village Retirement Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Elder Julius Stewart and Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Mrs. Ellerbee, daughter of the late Clarence Jefferson and Mary Frances Trice Smith, was born in Upson County on August 8, 1926. She was a 1943 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mrs. Ellerbee was a homemaker and also a bookkeeper for Upson Alliance Warehouse and for Tom's. She was a member of the Upson Historical Society and the Grace Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Hugh D. Ellerbee, a brother, Bobby C. Smith, and a daughter-in-law, Samee Ellerbee.
