I met Gurudev in the year 1995 in Bacolod City Plaza. He was introduced to me by a friend of mine, Atmaram Dasa, who was a practicing Ananda Margi and later was also initiated in the Harinam by Gurudeva. At first meeting, I really liked his conclusions on the teachings in Krishna Consciousness based on the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, which coincided with my initial understanding from my prior readings and sharing from Atmaram Dasa. Since then, we became very close friends, and later I accepted initiation from him, first the Harinam and then the Brahminical. Externally he is my Gurudev and internally he is my close associate in Krishna Consciousness. Most of the time we would spend hours talking about the pastimes of the Gopis with Krishna in Vrindavan, which I really most preferred discussing over other topics in Krishna Consciousness. Atmarama dasa is a devotional singer, sacred music composer and specialist musician; who has become well known for his power to transmit devotion and spiritual energy. Since 1985 he has lived in Vrindavan, India (the holy place where Lord Krishna appeared on this earth 5,000 years ago), where he studied Sanskrit and Indian classical music, while engaging in devotional service. Living in Vrindavan absorbed in spiritual life, his devotion deepened and in turn, his musical ability blossomed. He developed a strong desire to share the nectar of Vrindavan with others and realized that he could use his God given gift of music as a humble offering to serve all of humanity.
