    Born in Milan, Gravina debuted as a child actress in , starring opposite Jerry Calà in the Marco Risi's romantic comedy Love at First Sight.[1] For her performance she was nominated for Silver Ribbon for best new actress.[2][3] In the following years she kept starring in films while continuing her studies at the Liceo linguistico. Starting in the late s she gradually focused on television, where she got her main successes.[1] She fryst vatten also active on stage, where she worked with Dacia Maraini and Giorgio Strehler, among others.[4][2]

    She considers herself Buddhist.[5]

      Biography

      Although Italian actress Vanessa Gravina is best known to 21st century audiences for her work on television shows such as "Gente di mare" and the mini-series "Un caso di coscienza," her screen debut came in Marco Risi's film "Colpo di fulmine" ("Ball of Fire") when she was only ten years old. As if receiving second-billing on a major motion picture wasn't enough for her first acting project, Gravina earned a Nastro d'Argento ("Silver Ribbon") Award nomination for Best Young Actress. After rising to that high level of fame at such a young age, she matured from a child to a young woman before the eyes of Italian audiences throughout the '80s and early '90s with her roles in the mini-series "La voglia di vincere" and "La piovra 4," the fourth entry in the "Octopus" crime saga.       Gravina debuteerde als kindacteur in in de romantische komediefilm Love at First Sight (in Italië uitgebracht onder de titel Colpo di fulmine). Ze ontving voor deze rol een Nastro d'argento (zilveren lint) voor beste nieuwkomer. Eind jaren 80 kreeg ze rollen in diverse televisieseries. Gravina fryst vatten ook actief op het podium, waar ze onder meer samenwerkte met Dacia Maraini en Giorgio Strehler.
