    In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Baillères and the second or maternal family name is González.

    Alberto Baillères González (22 August 1931 – 2 February 2022) was a Mexican billionaire businessman. As of 2021[update], he had an estimated net worth of US$10.1 billion according to Forbes.[1] He was the chairman of Grupo BAL,[2] and of ITAM.[3]

    Early life

    Baillères was born in Mexico City[4] on 22 August 1931,[5] as the son of Raúl Baillères.[1] Baillères attended Culver Military Academy, in Culver, Indiana, US. In 1953 he received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM, a school founded by his father), in Mexico City.[4][5]
