Washington, D.C. - TheArmenian National Institute(ANI) welcomed the appointment of a new Academic Council, reported ANI Academic Council chairman Dr. Armen Baibourtian. “I am honored to announce the appointment of new members to the ANI Academic Council,” stated Dr. Baibourtian, “and I am looking forward to working with our very distinguished group of experts, along with our Director, Dr. Rouben Adalian."

Each year almost 20 students sign up for Hebrew language, expressing their interest in receiving background knowledge, enhancing their language skills and professional prospects. In 2019, the Centre for Hebrew Language and Jewish Culture was established at Brusov State University. Taking into consideration the huge interest of students, the importance of improving the Hebrew language teaching programme, as well as the potential of developing Jewish Studies in Armenia, we saw the possibility of creating a Hebrew Language and Culture Centre at BSU. After the Sovietization of Armenia, on December 17, 1920, it was renamed Yerevan People's University. It was officially opened on January 23, 1921.
