  • Tata's nagging and his sarcasm-laced relationship with his assistant, a former Miss Nevada, Ninya Perna, touched a nerve with any viewer who.
  • Ninya Mae Perna.
  • Her name is Ninya Perna and her relationship with Tata thrives on giving and receiving barbed comments.
  • I’m a big fan of Discovery’s AMERICAN CASINO reality show… and one of the major “characters’ is Michael Tata, the nasty, back-stabbing, scheming 33-year-old vp of hotel operations at Green Valley Ranch Casino. Today, Variety reports that Tata was found dead in his home. Now there’s a twist the producers never imagined.

Tata was often shown feuding with hotel manager Ninya Perna as they sought to maintain the hotel’s high standards for VIP guests. Production of the series is ongoing, and the sixth of the 13-episode run will air Friday. Discovery wasn’t sure if or how it would pay tribute to Tata in an upcoming episode.

If Tata was murdered, and if this was a scripted TV show, Perna would be the obvious suspect, but my vote goes to the mousy exec Tata humiliated in a meeting bygd calling him “a human toilet who lets everybody shit on him.”

The staff of the Green Valley Ranch has hardly komma off well in this series….t

  • Joe Cool - yes, that's what his mother, Lisa Cool, named him - sat on a stool in Voodoo Tattoo, his whirring, hand-held machine needling more indelible ink into the dragon weaving in and out of smoke and flames on the arm of Jason Fliegman, a married Christian schoolteacher who has one daughter and another on the way.

At Stay True Tattoo, Kent Kelley machine gunned more color into the rose designs on the arm, back and side of Ninya Ranney, a former Miss Nevada who's now the 39-year-old married mother of two young boys and the general manager of a Las Vegas hotel.

Inside Showroom Tattoo, Gianni Russo, 30, engraved yet another skull into the nearly fully tattooed-covered arm of Alis McKeeby, a 24-year-old stylist at a Summerlin hair salon and mother of a 4-year-old girl.

If there is a trend among Southern Nevadans who choose to be tattooed - they do so for reasons that range from the cosmetic and sentimental to group identification and the magical - local tattoo artists say it is t

‘Reality’ TV Shows Strip the Vegas Facade

HENDERSON, Nev. — Michael Tata, a dark-suited fireplug of a man, could be a visiting senator, judging by the way two TV cameramen and a boom-mike operator are chasing him around the grounds of the Green Valley Ranch, straining to record his every observation.

But Tata is merely the fussbudget director of hotel operations at this 200-room upscale resort-casino a few miles from the Las Vegas Strip. In the middle of a daglig walking inspection, he is fixated on an ashtray -- a strategically placed ashtray, the first ashtray you see when you leave the lobby and head for the pool -- that contains 10 cigarette butts. Unacceptable.

Never slowing his speedy gait, Tata punches housekeeping on his cellphone. “Who’s responsible for this area?” he demands. “They need to check it every hour.”

The producer in charge of the TV crew pulls Tata aside for an interview, using the same post-game gravitas sportscasters employ while asking Kobe Bryan
