Man, I sure know how to get folks riled up.
Two days ago I posted a blog here about the unveiling of a statue outside of Belfast&#;s Ulster Hall that was meant to depict Irish guitar legend Rory Gallagher performing at that venue back in The bronze monument was based on a photo from Melody Maker magazine and depicted Gallagher standing with his arms raised widely apart while a Telecaster guitar hung at his hips.
The first time I saw it I was both shocked and insulted, and I&#;ll tell you why in a second.
I&#;m a huge Rory fan. I&#;ve always felt he was shockingly underrated and underappreciated by the majority of music fans. For years I&#;ve been lobbying through my website for him to finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with the likes of Johnny Winter and Link Wray.
Now, I realize&#;and have been reminded many times by his most ardent fans&#;that Rory wouldn&#;t give a rat&#;s ass about being in the RRHOF. But the sheer, unmistakea
