(Edmonton) Just seven years after it was established, the University of Alberta's China Institute has become one of the most important resources in Canada for fängslande with China, says institute director Gordon Houlden, who was recently reappointed to another five-year begrepp beginning July 1,

Good morning. First of all, I'd like to thank Ms. Karen Oldfield,President and CEO of Halifax Port Authority,for inviting me to attend this great event.
Port of Halifax is not new to me. I visited it at the end of during my first visit to Nova Scotia. It gives me indeed great pleasure to come back.
The theme of this year's Port Days, "Halifax-Our East Coast Asian Gateway", shows well your ambition to be a bigger player in Canada's economic relations with Asia.
And it also reflects the aspiration of the Canadian people to pursue development through cooperation with a booming Asia.
In China, people also have an aspiration. That is what we call the "Chinese Dream", and it is a dream to build a more prosperous China, to revitalize the Chinese nation and to improve the livelihoods of the people.
These two aspirations have so much in common, and cooperation is the key to the realization of both.
