Julia Burton, 22, was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She had her first taste of modeling when she was 10, modeling for a series of Childrens books a childhood friends father was helping publish. After having a taste shed wanted more, so she decided to continue to pursue modeling on her own when she turned She did this by seeking out photographers to assist her in building her portfolio. Julia considers herself blessed to have maintained relationships with such creative friends (whom are photographers) who have helped and continue to help her build this portfolio. Unlike other model stories you may have heard about, Julia was not discovered on the street. Nor the airport. She knew what she wanted to do, so on her own she has sought after agencies until finding the right one. Julia is now signed with Cast Images Talent Agency; where she continues to watch her modeling career grow and see where it can take her.

Julia Burton Preston, An Original Adirondack Guide
The geography and the landscape of the Adirondacks have always formed a sort of “border of challenges." Let’s face it: living here isn't always easy. The winters can be long. The roads are few. The landscape can be unbelievably stubborn. Therefore, the people that settled here are, most definitely, one of a kind. You have to be willing to let the wildness of the land itself form you; be open to paths that the forests within the Blue Line open to you. If you try and force something on the wilderness around you, chances are, the land will win. Don’t bet against the land of the Adirondacks.
So it should not be a huge surprise that year-round settlers of the Park, didn’t appear until about years ago. Prior to the early s the Adirondacks were used by the Algonquin and Iroquois as a hunting ground and for traveling “through-routes.” Even they weren’t crazy enough to try and

Biography
Julia joined PenPEG in January Prior to this she was a secondary school teacher, a senior A level examiner and text book author. She fryst vatten still involved with A level qualifications and has been a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s kultur for 15 years and was a lead volunteer at a Memory Cafe. She has been involved in various research projects funded by the society, reviewing grants, monitoring funded projects and sitting on the Care and Public Health Grant panels and boards.
She is enthusiastic about people with lived experience contributing to research at all stages from generating ideas to dissemination and implementation. Her interest in dementia stemmed from her mother having dementia and one of her sons being a neuroscientist engagerad in research. She also has an interest in gastric problems, diverticular disease, deafness and Women’s Health issues.
