    How I Came to Baba

    I'm going to share with you this morning something I have always called my fairy tale. I first heard of Meher Baba in 1956. Right after Baba had been in the United States, I met two women in New York who had met Baba a few days before. One of them, Ginny Sadowski, came to work for the newspaper where I was working. She did her work at home, and it was part of one of my weekly runs, round my "beat", to stop at her house and pick up her work.     The team of Jessica Chen, Charlotte Iupe, Janie Wilde, and Candace Bailey won the 4x100 and broke the 4x200 record with a 1:46.40; the boys ran 1:36.05 in the 4x200.  Meredith Gamble won the 800m in a meet record 2:22.19, and Candace Bailey won the High Jump with a jump of 5'0.  The most improved athlete was Tope Emiola, who placed 2nd in both throws by posting big PRs in the Shot and Discus!  In the Weight Man's Relay, the GIRLS finished 3rd ahed of one of the boys schools!  Jasmine Larry, Shanice Beasley, Tope Emiola, and Mackenzie Hicks ran  55.72!   The Girls finished second in the meet.  Complete Results below:
